Obama wins

Guess that’s what happens when you go against your original word and seek private funding vs public funding that McCain stuck to.

80 billion dollars can buy a lot of votes. I’m just saying…..

We need to pray the best choices for our country in war are made so we’re not fighting the battle here in the US!

Pray the best choices are made for health care so we don’t have to pay 50% taxes (no matter what your income!) to our government to pay for Health Care! And Pray if our government does control our health care programs that patients don’t have to wait endless months to get in for necessary surgeries and appointments.

And pray that everyone pays their fair share in taxes. Not get penalized for doing things right, working harder and smarter then others, only to have the government take what you’ve rightfully earned to share with those that didn’t work as hard or make as good of choices!

We don’t want a communist country!

This is going down in history yes, but it should be about the issues.

(don’t flame me please!) Just think our country might be in need of some serious prayer! You’d be AMAZED by what it can do!

To my kids:
The day will come when you get the opportunity to vote. Do your research, don't be influenced by what others tell you. Stand up for what you believe in. You are all so smart and I am so proud of you guys! I pray that our country is all that you wish it to be and that you are allowed the freedoms and choices to be successful in whatever you do.

Last chance to vote!

My kids were both so into the election. They talked about it a lot at school. Ryker had to write some facts on why he would vote for his candidate and why he wouldn't vote for the other. Raven just liked to say, "BOOOO__________!" Someone must be teaching her that at school because she's not learning that here!
There's still time to vote tomorrow, even if you haven't registered you can take proof of your residency into the poll location in your district and get registered before you vote.
This will be an election that will go down in history for one reason or another. I pray the best Man will win! As you can tell I'm skirting the debate here. There's other blogs you can go to if you want that.

The Finger Sweep

Scary Moment! Miss Paisley was sitting on the couch next to me as I'm working on the computer (um ok watching last nights episode of dancing with the stars on abc.com) She kept saying something over and over that sounded like, "e-ick". Raven figured out she wanted a cheese stick. Next thing I know she's gagging next to me! The last bit of the cheese stick had slid down her throat and she was choking! I stuck my finger in her mouth and could feel it in her throat, I screamed, "She's choking!" as I swept my finger down her throat thinking I may need to tip her upside down, then captured that slippery cheese stick as my heart was racing! Scared me half to death! I was so grateful that I was right next to her when it happened and was cursing myself as a parent for the times I let her walk around the house with cheese stick in her hand! What if she would have been downstairs with the kids and I wasn't near her and the kids didn't notice she was choking??? You tend to be more lax with the 3rd child and this was a wake up call. I did the Heimlich on Raven a couple times when she was young. Once was on her 1st birthday when she got some plastic wrap off of a tape in her mouth and was gagging and I tipped her upside down while hitting her and she threw up all over! Another time was when she was in her high chair eating green beans laughing at her brother when she started choking, I whipped her out of her chair and tipped her again while hitting her, cursing that she was strapped in the high chair and it took me awhile to get her out. Anyone else have any scary choking moments??
