Every girl needs hair bows and dresses!

Love this retro Bib!
Her big sissy has a dress to match her in this outfit!
Every girl needs hair bows! I've recently bought a lot of those alligator clip bows as well.
I love books so baby will have a lot of them! I even have her life book started but I really want to do a digital one I've found that looks so cool!
This is her fushia terry swim cover up! I have yet to find her a swim suit her size I like. How strange is that? I find tons for my almost 5 year old but nothing for the 6-12 mo. size.

I really haven't bought that much for our baby girl. Nothing compared to my first child before he was born. I think it has to do with this being the 3rd child AND the fact that we're not 100% on how big she is. I'll post a few pictures of some things we have for her. I still need to post pictures of the cutest things she received from the baby shower.

new photos

My dark haired girl with her cousin from CA The 2-blond cousins
Girl all made up for her Dance recital. She did so good! This was her first year and it was so cute! More than dance my girl can SING! She learned many songs at preschool to sing for us at the Mother's Day tea and she sings them into her microphone while looking out the big window, all the time! She can carry a tune! Not pitchy, as Simon would say, at all!
Cousins posing! They all got along so well!

I found a volunteer in Babies orphanage!

Oh I just LOVE the power of the internet! I found a dr that is volunteering with a group for 4 months there. She was at Paisley's orphanage a couple of months ago and went back again for a day a couple of weeks ago. I will post her comments about our little sunshine below. I had received a picture of her from a family that was adopting with our agency and it is a CLASSIC photo of her and her Nanny, or they call them Mothers. BUT I was so worried about her because her eye was all red and swollen! They said it looked better and they thought it was from a bug bite. So the Dr volunteer commented on it below.

"I saw your little girl yesterday and she is so big. She's looking really well except for a couple of infected mosquito bites on her head. It's been raining here all weekend so the mosquitos are really bad. The mothers are putting cream on it and I'm sure that they'll be better in a couple of days.
She's teething at the moment I think because she's drooling lots and wants to chew on anything that comes near her mouth. She's also a bit grizzly at the moment but normally is very happy (The volunteers here have nicknamed her 'Happy Buddha"). You'll need to bring quite large clothes with you when you come. She is wearing 9-12 month clothes at the moment.
She's not really sitting or standing at the moment and can't crawl yet. She's got really good head control and can roll over and reach for things. I expect she'll start sitting better soon.
The mothers aren't too keen on us taking photos of the babies (they are worried that you will think that they are ugly and not want them anymore) but I did find one from a couple of months ago of your little girl. We'll try to take a photo secretly of her in the next little while. I managed to get some of the others but not her. The orphanage did say that they have taken some photos more recently and will send them onto you. I'll put the photos that I have up onto shutterfly in the next day or so and send you the link (the files are fairly large and not easy to email).
We asked the mothers if they needed anything and they said that formula and nappies are the two big things that they always need. Both of these are easy to get here in Vietnam and cost about the same as at home. They have recently got a big donation of clothes so don't really need any of them and are fairly well stocked with medicines at the moment. They also have a very good collection of toys for the older kids but some books for us to read to them would be nice. Her eye definitely wasn't that red when we saw her yesterday so it must have been a bite or something that got better.
I'm trying to guess her weight and I'm not very good at that but to give you an idea she's about the same size as a lot of the babies that are crawling already so I'd say about 8 mth size or so. The top that she had on was definitely for a 9-12 month according to the label and it wasn't too big on her. I suppose the babies here are smaller than the babies at home so she probably is more like a big six month baby would be in America or England. She really is quite heavy when you pick her up, I'd have to guess about 7-8 kg in weight (about twice a new born baby)."

Isn't that the most precious thing to get in an email? "Happy Buddha"! I love it! That's my girl! Cannot wait to squeeze and love on all that baby fat!

No news yet on travel but I'm guessing it will be in June. Just a hunch. They keep saying we'll get short travel notice so be prepared. I just bought a few more things today and have most of what I need. Just need to get a bit more organized and mainly get things organized with my business. Love that paperwork!

Pictures from baby shower

Above are Wanda, Shelly and Lisa Lou. Lisa is the one that wanted to throw this great party and has been a dear friend for 19 years! I"ve known Shelly almost as long! Wow that ages me a bit doesn't it!
My dear friends Shelly, Susi and Leah are below. I rarely see Shelly & Susi anymore! Boogers! And Leah was one of the 4 that threw the great party! Her and her daughters sit with us at church and we get to have lunch dates occassionally. Her baby girl is one month older than our Paisley girl! I love holding and feeding her! And her other daughter is a huge help with our 4 year old during church. They are a lot alike and both LOVE to sing loud!
Rachael and Kim are below. Rachael was one of the 4 that threw the party and it was held at her beautiful home. Kim has volunteered to meet me in Vietnam after hubby leaves if my sister can't make it. This all depends on the travel timing. I joked that Kim will have me climbing mountains. She's much more adventurous than I am. She does the white water rafting thing, runs marathons, you know the type! I'll be hurting!
This is my cousin Patty and my Momma.
Below is my dear sister in law and very good friend Renee. Of course I wish I had taken a lot more pictures! Why didn't I get a shot of everyone there! Where were you Tawyna? Oh I remember, you were in the kitchen making martini's! There's 2 of everyone sitting down each side while I'm opening presents but their both very blurry. I have a tiny sony and if it's not held very still the pictures are blurry. Drives me crazy and I'm thinking of getting another one before our trip.

My great friends!!

Four awesome friends of mine had a baby shower a couple weeks ago! I'm so behind, as you can tell that I haven't posted pictures of anything lately. I'm thinking this will be more of a site for when we travel to keep those informed. I'm keeping a personal journel for baby girl to put in her life book that's more private. The thought of those viewing this that don't have the best intentions in mind is not thrilling to me. I'm a bit of a private person.
Back to the shower, it was fun that my nieces were in town from LA (2 of them anyway) so they got to come and we had a great weekend with them and their 2 little ones. I received all kinds of great gifts from everyone and lots of donations for babies orphanage that I'm just thrilled about! They said they need over the counter meds, band-aides, sippy cups, diaper rash cream and $$. I'm planning on taking 2 suitcases full. My sister went above and beyond with her gifts! She gave my almost 5 year old and baby matching denium jean jackets from the gap with their names embroidered on the back in pink! So cute! AND a huge bag full of cute clothes, a soft purple blanket with her name on it AND her SVAN high chair in espresso color with pink cushion! The girl will be styling when she's eatting. I'm so excited to get it! They had the cutest cake done with her picture on it and in Vietnamese it said "congratulations!" It was the sweetest thing. Many great friends got to come, I love all my friends but don't always get to see them that much. I also had a few special family members come and it was just the best! Thanks so much girls! I'll have to post pictures later.

Another travel group is leaving this week. The other three should arrive home this weekend with their sweeties. We're not sure when the next group goes. It could be as soon as the end of May or it could be mid June. And of course we have no idea what group we'll be in. Sometimes you get 10 days notice! Well I'm not ready yet anyway! My sister is flying in from CA tomorrow and she said she'd help me get organized. I haven't even started! Just have bins of baby stuff in her room. Cribs not up yet, (hint, hint honey!), haven't shabby chic'd her dresser yet, haven't bought all the nessessity stuff I need yet, just getting our shots for travel tomorrow! Really looking forward to that! AND we're putting our house on the market! Yeah we like to keep the stress level at an all time high always!
promise I'll post pictures later-no time to proof my writing either!
